At the end of this course you will have identified a list skills and strengths you believe in to use for building a resume, writing a cover letter and going for a job interview.  This will happen in 5 confidence building steps: 1) reflecting on 7 life moments you feel good about; 2) choosing 3 of these moments to write a short description or story about; 3) using a list provided, identifying skills and strengths you hear in your stories; 4) sharing your stories with your instructor for her feedback about skills and strengths; 5) sharing one of your stories in the forum for feedback about additional skills and strengths other students see and hear.

The objective of this course is to create a Vision Board.  A Vision Board is a powerful visual tool to guide your career and life planning.  It is like a compass that you can use when making decisions about directions to take in volunteering, training, work or life in general. A Vision Board will help you stay on course with what is most meaningful to you.

After creating the Vision Board, you will be invited to reflect on the images, words and symbols. Then you will identify values and goals that comes out in the Board.  Hanging your Vision Board in a central place gives you the chance to refer back to it as you complete Bridges Online courses.  You can use it as a guide for career/life decision making beyond your work with Bridges for Women Online!

When you are done this chapter, you will have identified and mapped out your unique personal support practices and resources.  We will also invite you to visit 2 local community resources, and research 2 online resources.  In this way, you will have a visual representation of options to feel good about on good days and choices for support on stressful days.
